The Cooper Evolution Winter is a touring winter tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. The tire promotes excellent winter weather traction. The silica-enhanced tire compound and the directional tread design with the high-density siping detail increases the cold temperature, ice and snow road gripping ability. The tire is pinned for studs, which can be added in accordance to the state laws for extra ice and snow gripping ability. The open shoulder pattern and the wide grooves prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water and slush from below the tire's footprint. The better traction and hydroplaning resistance enables the tire to receive its three mountain peak and snowflake symbol, which notes its capability to perform well in harsh winter weather.
